Events

Stringybark Festival 2013, Rowville Community Centre, Melbourne

We helped and participated in a mini ‘ask the expert’ area to help locals with their building and energy efficiency questions. There was even a ‘sustainability rap’ by some great local guys! A great family day out as always.

Sustainable House Day 2013

We volunteered again at this national event. It’s a great opportunity to take a look at what others have done in your area to make their home more sustainable. Homes were open to the public from 10am to 4pm and it was another great success.

Build and Renovating Expo 2013, Melbourne Exhibition Center

Working with the MBA Expo we helped create and manage The Modern Home sustainability feature and the annual ‘Ask an Expert’. It was fantastic to have our experts housed in a sustainable mock home with highly efficient and non toxic items like Ozone Panel walls, efficient appliances, non toxic kitchen cabinets and benchtop and so on. We helped hundreds of people over the weekend to understand options and identify the most energy efficient solution for their project. Feedback has been excellent and we’ll be working on making it even better in 2014.

Working with the MBA Expo we managed the Sustainability Feature where you can ‘Ask an Expert’. Now you can get even MORE free advice and guidance on making your building or renovations more sustainable and cost efficient. We helped hundreds of people over the weekend to understand options and identify the most energy efficient solution for their project. Feedback has been excellent and we hope to be back next year.

We were on the ‘expert panel’ at 12 noon answering questions on sustainable homes. We also gave a talk on ‘What’s the story with Solar’. It was a great family day out with loads of things to see and do.

Sustainable Living Festival 2012, Federation Square, Melbourne.

We shared a space with Green Renters, it was great to find lots of people interested in sustainable homes and the session on renovating for energy efficiency by Beyond Zero Emissions was fantastic.

MBA Building & Home Improvement Expo Melbourne 2011

WOW – what a weekend! We were very busy at the Sustainability Hot Spot and managed to help out everyone who stopped for a chat. We reviewed renovation and building plans, answered questions on everything from solar PV to black water worm farm treatment systems and everyone found it very rewarding. The draw for our free Sustainability Review was won by S.H. in Eltham. The free copy of the small business Sustainable Growth book goes to S.R. of Eco Water Proofing Systems. We hope to see you at the next one!
