10 Years of Being the Change

This month marks a milestone we’re incredibly proud of: 10 years of Green Moves Australia as a Certified B Corporation.

When we first became a B Corp back in December 2015, the movement was still gaining momentum in Australia. We joined because we believed business should be a force for good—one that balances profit with purpose, puts people and planet first, and leads by example in a rapidly changing climate and energy landscape.

A decade on, that commitment is stronger than ever.

Why B Corp Still Matters

The B Corp framework continues to push businesses to be transparent, accountable and genuinely sustainable—not just in what we do, but in how decisions are made and how impact is measured. It challenges us to continually improve across areas that matter:

  • environmental performance
  • social impact
  • governance and ethics
  • treatment of workers and customers
  • contribution to community

For us, that means embedding sustainability at every level of our work—from the advice we give households and businesses, to the way we operate internally, to the partnerships we choose. It keeps us focused on long-term value, not short-term wins.

What We’ve Achieved Over the Past Decade

Over the last 10 years as a B Corp, we’ve:

  • Helped thousands of households and businesses cut energy costs, improve comfort and reduce emissions.
  • Supported organisations across Australia to improve building performance and transition to being more efficient and sustainable in their operations.
  • Educated the community through local education sessions and taking the time to listen.
  • Advocated for practical, evidence-based energy solutions that support healthier, more resilient communities.
  • Continued to operate independently, providing trusted advice free from product sales or commercial bias.
  • Achieved and maintained a Climate Active Certified Carbon Neutral Organisation since 2020.
  • Strengthened our internal sustainability practices, reducing our own footprint year after year and now achieving net zero for our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions (still working on Scope 3).
  • Consistantly demonstrating our values, walking the talk and taking out the Sustainability Impact Awards for Peoples Choice Award in 2024, and the Transparency Award in 2024 and 2025.

It’s been a decade of growth, learning and impact—and we’re only just getting started.

A Thank You to Our Community

We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support of our clients, partners and the wider sustainability community. Every household we help, every business we work with, every council or organisation that chooses to take meaningful action—all of you contribute to the impact we’re able to make.

Thank you for trusting us, challenging us, and walking alongside us on this journey.

Looking Ahead: The Next 10 Years

Australia’s transition to a low-carbon future is accelerating. The next decade will bring new technologies, new policy settings and new challenges for households, businesses and governments. As a long-standing B Corp, we’re committed to being at the forefront of these changes—providing clear, practical, science-based guidance that helps people make informed, sustainable choices.

Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next 10 years of using business as a force for good and ‘Being the Change’.

If you’d like to talk to us about how we can assist you or your business, or have any queries just contact us – we’re always happy to help.
